Piet Stams was a household name in Tilburg at the beginning of the 20th century. He traded in all kinds of stuff and always attracted a lot of attention with his wheelbarrow. In 1914, Piet made his body available to science in a very special way.
You can see how it happened in this video. Our museum has had Piet's skeleton on loan for a long time, but since a few years it is really our property. We are proud of it. And Pete? He has a great time with us.
